Once upon a time... we lived here in Torino Italy.
This is me with the
Mole Antonelliana in the background. See the spire? That's it.
Here is our old neighborhood:
Just down the block from us was this castle. This would be a nice house to live in don't you think?
Closer:
But you have to get right up on the sidewalk to enjoy the true beauty of this castle. The mosaics.
Aren't they beautiful?
Gorgeous! How wonderful to walk past that beauty every day!
ReplyDeleteHow BEAUTIFUL!! Thanks for stopping in at My place and leaving such a sweet comment! I LOVE your pictures!! Beautifully done! I'll be adding you to my blogroll because I don't want to miss Any of them!! Happy night sweetie!!hughugs
ReplyDeleteI can't quite orientate myself right now, but when I first got here, we lived near the Gran Madre on via Santorre Santarosa. Now while I had my "issues" with living in that city, I have to say that I loved the egyptian museum and walking to piazza Castello in the evenings. With everything all lit up, it was a magical place.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who lives in southern Italy, my first thought when upon seeing those photos was, wow, how clean. That castle really is lovely, as are the mosaics. It looks like it's an image of builders, do you know what it's about?
ReplyDeleteMcVal~ Welcome! Yes it was a beautiful building, with mosaics on all sides (that I could see).
ReplyDeleteDonna~ Thank you! I am glad you liked the photos. :)
Rowena~ You know I had my "issues" too with Torino. But you're right. Sometimes at night in various places - it was magic in that city.
KC~ I don't know what the mosaics are all about. I used to crane my neck trying to peer up above the trees along the fence line- Mosaics fascinate me, and these ones are so well done. I wish I had more info.
We lived in Torino for a month when I was covering the winter Olympics there. I loved the city - it is a real "foodie" kind of place. So many great food stores - and museums, palaces, and more.
